Critical Thinking (CT) is recognized as one of the crucial skills in 21stcentury education, particularly in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning. For the past few years, educators have been making attempts embedding the concept of CT into textbooks. This study aims to evaluate the level of integration of CT elements in the Wonderful World 4 book series based on the theoretical framework of the Facione Approach. Using a mixed-methods approach with qualitative content analysis and activity analysis of volumes of Wonderful World 4 – Student‘s Book 1 and 2 to determine how CT skills are represented in the materials. Findings reveal that while the textbook includes activities that encourage basic CT skills, it still has a lack of exercises that promote deep reflection, argument evaluation, and critical inquiry. The study highlights the need for a more intentional integration of CT instruction in EFL materials for young learners. Implications are offered for textbook developers, curriculum designers, and educators aiming to foster CT more effectively in primary-level English language education.
