The above content emphasizes the role of observation and signal processing technologies in monitoring mosquitoes – the agents that transmit dangerous diseases such as malaria, dengue fever or chikungunya. Disease outbreaks are closely related to climate and environmental factors, which can be effectively monitored by satellite images, remote sensors and automatic measurement systems. Thanks to this data, spatio-temporal models and predictive algorithms are built to estimate the distribution, seasonality and risk of mosquito-borne disease outbreaks. Integrated methods of remote sensing, big data analysis and biophysical modeling have evolved from experimental to practical operational tools, supporting health agencies and vector control units in monitoring and decision-making.
