Cuốn sách truy cập mở này trong lĩnh vực phát hiện dịch hại thực vật cho thấy nhu cầu liên tục trong việc phát triển và cải tiến các công cụ phát hiện nhanh chóng và đáng tin cậy, đặc biệt là đối với các loài gây hại ưu tiên cao. Cuốn sách truy cập mở này mô tả và tóm tắt toàn bộ quy trình tổ chức nghiên cứu hiệu suất thử nghiệm (TPS) cho các công cụ này. Kết quả của TPS, thu được thông qua việc đánh giá hiệu suất của một hoặc nhiều xét nghiệm chẩn đoán của một số phòng thí nghiệm trên các mẫu xác định, là tìm ra xét nghiệm có hiệu suất tốt nhất cho từng loài gây hại cụ thể và cho các mục đích sử dụng cụ thể. Ngày nay, việc tăng cường thương mại toàn cầu và các biện pháp kiểm soát liên quan làm tăng nhu cầu công nhận đảm bảo chất lượng và hài hòa hóa các hoạt động của phòng thí nghiệm. Do đó, các nghiên cứu như vậy rất quan trọng, nhưng lại không tồn tại. Xem xét những thực tế đó, mục tiêu của chúng tôi là phát triển các hướng dẫn, bằng cách sử dụng dữ liệu và kinh nghiệm của các đối tác liên quan, để tiếp tục TPS trong lĩnh vực sức khỏe thực vật. Các hướng dẫn đã phát triển có thể dễ dàng chuyển giao sang các lĩnh vực vi sinh vật học khác.

Abstract:

This open access book in the field of plant pest detection shows a constant demand in development and improvement of fast and reliable detection tools, especially for high-priority pests. This open access book describes and summarizes the whole process of the organization of test performance study (TPS) for these tools. The outcome of TPS, obtained through the evaluation of the performance of one or more diagnostic tests by several laboratories on defined samples, is the finding of the best performing test/s for particular pest and for specific uses. Nowadays the intensification of worldwide trade and associated controls increases the need for quality assurance accreditation and harmonization of laboratories practices. Therefore, such studies are very important, but, non-existent. Considering those facts, our goal was to develop guidelines, by using the data and experiences of involved partners, for further TPS in the field of plant health. Developed guidelines could be easily transferable to other microbiology fields.
