Abstract:

The book provides an overview of the history, theory and practice of occupational safety management. It begins by exploring the origins of occupational safety and occupational rights, then introduces theories and models such as James Reason's Swiss Cheese Model of the causes of safety incidents. The book also provides guidance on how to establish and implement an occupational safety management system, including leadership commitment, policies, procedures, risk assessment and hazard control, along with emergency response measures and performance evaluation.
