CHE 202 General Chemistry II is a continuation of general chemistry, expanding on the knowledge learned in CHE 201 to more advanced concepts in atomic modeling and chemical bonding. The book begins with the quantum world, exploring how electrons are distributed within atoms and their influence on chemical properties. The next section discusses the periodic model and how electrons determine elemental properties. Following this, the material introduces Lewis structures, the strength and shape of covalent bonds, and molecular polarity—factors that determine interactions between molecules. The following chapter presents intramolecular and intermolecular forces. Finally, the book examines solutions, phase changes, and their applications in semiconductors. The manual helps students understand the connection between atomic structure and the properties of matter and reactions in modern chemistry.
