The research process has established a theoretical basis for research implementation. The research results describe in detail the benefits and challenges of applying note-taking techniques in strengthening learners' listening skills. The research is also valuable in applying notes to teaching, contributing to improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning listening skills at Hanoi University of Industry. The topic Improving listening skills for second-year English students: Research on note-taking techniques has achieved the main goal of the thesis which is to comprehensively understand and analyze Note-taking techniques to improve second-year students' English listening skills Major student at Hanoi University of Industry. By investigating teachers as well and students' perspectives, experiences, and expectations about this listening session techniques, this study seeks to provide an in-depth understanding of effective pedagogical approaches to improve listening proficiency, contributing to develop language education strategies. Research results are presented in 5 chapters, including: Chapter 1: Introduction; Chapter 2: Literature review; Chapter 3: Research methods; Chapter 4: Findings and discussion; Chapter 5: Conclusion. From the research results, the research topic has established a theoretical basis for conducting research. The research results describe in detail the benefits and challenges of applying note-taking techniques in strengthening learners' listening skills.
