Contents include: the nature of matter, atomic structure - ion - molecule, components and solutions, chemical calculations, energy in reactions (thermochemistry), electron structure and periodic law, types of bonds and molecular geometry, gas - liquid - solid, solution - colloid, and acid-base equilibrium. The book provides basic knowledge about the structure, reactions and properties of matter, which is the first step for studying chemistry at a higher level.
