Abstract:

The book introduces basic knowledge about microorganisms, from prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell structure, growth, genetics, metabolism to pathogens such as bacteria and viruses; at the same time, it presents antibiotics, drug resistance mechanisms, epidemiology, microbiome and its role in human health. In addition, the book also provides a basic overview of the immune system, immune response and related diseases. With a clear presentation, learning objectives and illustrative situations, the document helps learners easily access and connect theory with practice.
